Remove Competitor Google Reviews
When a rival business, its owner or its staff reviews you, that is a conflict of interest, and Google's rules do not allow it. We look for the link between the reviewer and the competitor, report each review on the right grounds, and you pay only for reviews that come down.
Do not book with them. The team down the road did the same job properly and for less.
- Steers readers to another business nearby
- The same account praises that rival on its own profile
- No date, job or detail of a real booking
Why Google does not allow reviews from rivals
Google's contribution policy says content based on a conflict of interest is not allowed, and it names professional affiliations as one example. A competitor who reviews you has a reason to pull your rating down that has nothing to do with your service. The same rule stops owners from reviewing their own business.
It also covers people acting for a rival: their staff, their relatives, or anyone they paid or asked to post. The review might be an attack on you, or fake praise on the rival's own profile. Both break the rule.
The wording sits under rating manipulation on Google's prohibited and restricted content page. The hard part is rarely the rule. It is showing the connection, and that is what the rest of this page covers.
Signs A Rival Is Behind A Review
One sign on its own is a hunch. Two or three together make a case worth reporting.
Ties To A Competitor
The reviewer's name matches an owner, manager or staff member at a rival business, on its website or social pages.
Timing That Lines Up
The review appears soon after you opened nearby, won a contract they wanted, or started a promotion.
Points To Another Business
The text sends readers to a specific competitor, by name or as the one down the road.
Same Trade, Same Area
The reviewer's history is full of businesses like yours nearby, praising one and running down the rest.
Insider Knowledge
The review uses trade terms, supplier names or pricing details an ordinary customer would not know.
Copied Attacks
Similar wording turns up on other businesses in your trade, all of them competing with the same company.
When A Rival's Review Qualifies
We tell you honestly how strong the connection looks before any work starts.
Competitor Reviews We Work On
- Reviews posted by the owner, a manager or staff of a rival business
- Reviews from people a rival paid or asked to post
- Reviews that push readers toward a named competitor with no real visit behind them
- Accounts that praise one business and attack every rival around it
- A cluster of reviews that began after a dispute with a competitor
What Usually Stays Up
- A real customer who also tried a competitor and compares the two
- A real customer who says they found a better price elsewhere
- A review you suspect came from a rival, with nothing on the account to connect them
Not sure whether a rival wrote it? Send it over. We will tell you what we see on the account.
What to collect about the rival
Competitor reviews are judged on the link between the reviewer and the rival, so collect anything that shows it. Keep it factual and keep it private.
- The link to each review and to the reviewer's profile
- Screenshots of the reviewer's other reviews, especially any about the competitor
- Public pages showing the person owns or works for the rival, such as a team page
- Dates that matter: when you opened, when a dispute started, when the reviews began
Do not confront the reviewer or the competitor in public. It rarely helps, and it can make your own reply look like the attack.
How we handle competitor reviews
Send the review links on WhatsApp along with anything you know about the rival. We study the account, its other reviews and the timing, and tell you which reviews show a clear enough connection to report. Then you get a quote for those.
Once you agree, we report each review under the conflict of interest rule and follow it up. Some are settled sooner than others, so we do not promise a date. You get updates on WhatsApp, and you pay only for reviews that are removed.
Replying to a review you think came from a rival
Keep it short and calm. Say you have no record of the person as a customer and invite them to get in touch. Do not name the competitor or accuse anyone, even if you are sure. Readers cannot see your evidence, only your tone.
If the attacks look like part of a wider campaign, our pages on fake reviews and former employee reviews cover the other forms it can take, and our plain words guide to the policy explains each rule.
From link to removed
No forms and no accounts to set up. The whole process runs on WhatsApp, and you always know where each review stands.
Open the review on Google Maps, tap share, copy the link and send it to us on WhatsApp. One link or a whole sheet both work.
We read every review against Google's rules, tell you which ones qualify, and send you a quote. No surprises.
We report each review that breaks the rules and keep after it. It is often fast, and we keep you updated on WhatsApp the whole way.
You pay per review, and only for reviews that actually get removed. If a review stays up, you do not pay for it.
Worst place ever. Do not waste your time or money here!
Competitor review questions
Google looks at the account, its history and the pattern around it, along with what the report points out. A report that names the connection clearly, such as a reviewer who manages a rival shop, has a much better chance than a general complaint.
We advise against it. A public accusation can look petty to readers, and if you are wrong it creates new trouble for you. Put the connection in the report, where Google can weigh it, and keep the reply neutral.
Reviews posted at a rival's request still count as a conflict of interest. They are harder to connect, so the timing and the wording usually carry the case. Send all of them together so the pattern is easy to see.
Fake praise breaks Google's rules as well, and anyone can flag a review on Google Maps. Message us about it and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we can take on.
Send it and let us look. Sometimes the account shows a clear link you had not spotted. If we see nothing that ties the reviewer to a rival, we will say so, and you will not pay for a review we do not report.
Send Us The Rival's Reviews
Message us on WhatsApp with the review links and what you know about the competitor. We check the connection, and you pay only for reviews that come down.
