Remove Reviews From Former Employees

Google reviews are meant for customers, not for settling scores after a job ends. A review from someone who used to work for you is a conflict of interest under Google's rules. We check each one, report it on the right grounds, and you pay only for reviews that come down.

Management treats staff like dirt and pays late every month. Do not give these people your money.

  • Describes working there, not buying there
  • Posted shortly after the reviewer left the company
  • Complains about pay and managers, not about service
Former employment is a conflict of interest, so it is worth reporting

Google's rule on reviews from staff

Google's contribution policy treats current or former employment as a conflict of interest. Someone who worked for you is not judging the business the way a customer would. They are judging it as an employer, often soon after a difficult exit, and that is not what a Google review is for.

The rule applies in both directions. A glowing review from a current employee breaks it as much as an angry one from someone who quit or was let go. If you ever asked staff to review the business, those reviews carry the same problem.

You can read the wording under rating manipulation on Google's prohibited and restricted content page. Workplace complaints have their place, but it is not your customer reviews.

How To Spot A Review From Former Staff

Most owners recognize these reviews on sight. The signs below help explain why to someone who does not know your business.

About The Job, Not The Service

The review talks about shifts, pay, managers or how staff are treated, instead of a purchase or a visit.

Timed With A Departure

It appeared soon after someone resigned, was let go or had a falling out with you.

Things Only Staff Would Know

It mentions internal rules, schedules, suppliers or private conversations that no customer would see.

Colleagues Named

It singles out managers or coworkers by name, often with personal remarks about them.

Friends Join In

A few more reviews follow from people close to the former employee, repeating the same complaints.

Private Details Shared

It reveals addresses, phone numbers, health matters or other personal facts about you or your team.

Which Staff Reviews Qualify

We tell you which reviews show a clear link to former staff before any work starts.

Former Staff Reviews We Work On

  • Reviews written by people who used to work for you, about the job
  • Reviews from current staff, whether positive or negative
  • Reviews from friends or family posting on a former employee's behalf
  • Reviews that share private details about you or your team
  • Reviews with threats aimed at a manager or a coworker

What Usually Stays Up

  • A real customer who says the staff seemed rushed or unhappy
  • A customer complaint that mentions a staff member by first name in a fair way
  • A review you think came from former staff, when nothing in it or on the account points that way

Not sure whether a reviewer worked for you? Send the link with the name you suspect and we will look closely.

What to note down first

Check the reviewer's name against your staff list, and note when the person started and when they left. You do not need to send HR files, and you should not. A short private note on what you know is enough for us to judge the case.

  • The link to each review, copied from Google Maps
  • The name you believe is behind it and the role they had
  • The date they left and anything that happened around it
  • Screenshots, in case the review or the profile is edited later

How we handle reviews from former employees

Send us the links on WhatsApp. We read each review for signs of a staff connection, look at the account and the timing, and tell you which ones are worth reporting. You get a quote for those reviews only.

When you say go, we report each one under the conflict of interest rule, or under harassment or personal information when that is the clearer case. We follow up and keep you posted on WhatsApp. If a review stays, you do not pay for it.

Replying without making it worse

Never say in public that the reviewer used to work for you, and never discuss why they left. That shares private employment details and pulls readers into a dispute they cannot judge. A neutral reply works better: you take feedback seriously and you welcome a direct conversation.

If a review contains a threat, keep a copy and treat it as a safety matter first. For reviews that go further into abuse, our page on offensive reviews explains how those are judged, and competitor reviews covers the other common conflict of interest case.

How It Works

From link to removed

No forms and no accounts to set up. The whole process runs on WhatsApp, and you always know where each review stands.

Open the review on Google Maps, tap share, copy the link and send it to us on WhatsApp. One link or a whole sheet both work.

We read every review against Google's rules, tell you which ones qualify, and send you a quote. No surprises.

We report each review that breaks the rules and keep after it. It is often fast, and we keep you updated on WhatsApp the whole way.

You pay per review, and only for reviews that actually get removed. If a review stays up, you do not pay for it.
